The Fortnite universe is ever-expanding and this time, two iconic giants have arrived on the island, Godzilla and Kong. In an exciting twist, players can actually transform into Godzilla during matches, wielding its formidable powers instead of the usual arsenal to dominate the battle royale landscape.
Furthermore, players can also encounter Kong while battling it out in Fortnite. Players can maximize their experience as soon as they get to know how they can locate these titans.
Players have the opportunity to become Godzilla during this thrilling crossover. Occasionally, a unique portal referred to as the Hollow Eart Rift Gate will manifest during a match. It will grant the players the chance to morph into Godzilla for a limited duration.
This portal has a 20% chance of appearing between the 3-minute and 3-minute 45-second mark of the match which is significantly earlier than the Doom event that took place later in the game.
It is important to note that the portal does not have a fixed spawn point, it randomly appears across the map. Luckily, the game will highlight its precise location on the minimap, so players do not need to keep a lookout.
The portal typically spawns around the first circle of the match. A massive signal will alert the players in the game when it activates, telling them that it’s time to rush toward the portal. The first player to get in will get the chance to become Godzilla.
Kong has a 25% chance of appearing at a random spot during the match. When it appears on the battle bus, it signals the arrival of the Godzilla portal. Unfortunately, players cannot assume the role of Kong as he is solely a feature of the rift event.
Kong releases supply crates before vanishing back into the rift and these crates are filled with valuable items such as railguns to use in the confrontation with Godzilla.
