Hogwarts Legacy PC Mod update available

Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have officially announced their plans to introduce mod support for Hogwarts Legacy on PC. It paved the way for players to unleash their creativity within the beloved Harry Potter universe.

In an exciting video presentation, the team revealed that this highly anticipated feature will be available as a free update on January 30, 2025. For the time being, this modding capability will be exclusive to PC, with no updates on potential console support just yet.

The community manager at Avalanche, Chandler Wood stated, “We’ve streamlined the process for everyone involved. Our official tools make it simple. Mod creators will have access to the official Hogwarts Legacy creator kit, available for free on the Epic Games Store. This kit equips you with powerful tools, enabling you to channel your inner developer and craft custom mods that others can enjoy.”

As players dive into the world of Hogwarts Legacy mods, chaos is likely to ensue. The fans are eager to introduce whimsical elements like Shrek and Thomas assist, having collaborated with community members to make sure a selection of mods will be available from the start.

These include imaginative broom designs featuring dragons and even a vacuum cleaner, unique cosmetic options, an endless dungeon to hone combat skills, and a quest involving magical creatures.

Expect a steady stream of community-generated content in the coming months, providing payers with endless entertainment as Avalanche continues to innovate.

Hogwarts Legacy made its debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in February 2023. This was followed by releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May and the Nintendo Switch version in November. Hogwarts Legacy is available now for players on different devices like PC, Switch, etc through Steam and Epic Games Store and as of now, it has sold over 30 million copies.
